Completed in 2002, the Youth Victoria website has been designed for youth with input from youth. Due to public clamour for youth programs and services to be situated at one singular, comprehensive location, the Youth Victoria website was born.
The goal of the site is to get youth involved in their community. This is done by providing a resource for youth-oriented events, job opportunities, youth clubs, and by giving them a chance to show off their original artwork. Youth are likely the most web-savvy demographic and with that considerable online experience comes high expectations. Our goal was to design a site that would have widespread appeal for a famously exacting group.
The site we created is bright and dynamic and contains numerous custom-designed icons that we created specifically for Youth Victoria. These factors add to the visual appeal, and to which a site to which people will be attracted. Our icon customization goes hand-in-hand with the individuality that the website is promoting, at the same time keeping the site practical and the design compelling.
